Anita T. PisanoDirector of Elementary School Orchestras
Mrs. Anita Pisano is currently the Director of Elementary Orchestras at Lorewood Grove, Silver Lake, Cedar Lane and Olive B. Loss Schools in the Appoquinimink School District. Mrs. Anita Pisano was the Secondary Orchestra Director for The Haverford School in Haverford, PA, as well as, the Secondary Orchestra Director for Brandywine School District for 10 years. She has been an active member of NAfMA, Americans for the Arts, and American String Teachers Association, where she was the national chair of the CodaBows for America Outreach Program for 2009 and 2010. She has also been on the Executive Board for the Pennsylvania Delaware String Teachers Association were she is the Delaware Representative. Mrs. Pisano has Chaired Delaware All State Orchestra from 2009 to 2013. She was the Co-Chair of Delaware State Music Day 2012, chaired for 2014. During her time in high school and middle school hosted, STRINGFEST, an honors orchestra and professional development each year. Pisano frequently runs clinics including Building String Orchestras, Strings for the Non String Player and How to Take an Honest Look at Your Ensemble. She has begun to work on the Education Advisory Committee for the Music School of Delaware and works on the Board of the Delaware Chamber Music Festival. She has also been chosen to work on the Education Committee for the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Pisano has sponsored the first American String Teachers Association High/Middle School Student Chapter in Delaware in 2016. She was the Assistant Conductor of the Delaware Youth Symphony Orchestra under the Direction of Maestro Simeone Tartaglione |
